Programs are created by Michelle Parenti, MS, RD, LD/N, Registered & Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist and Health Coach with over 12 years of experience educating and coaching adults and children on the topics of Nutrition & Wellness. Diet Balance was created by Michelle to deliver the message of healthy living to our community. Interactive workshops are provided on a variety of topics related to nutrition and wellness and brought to our client’s location. Workshops are entertaining and interactive, while providing personalized guidance for improving lifestyle in practical ways.

Research supports the economic value of educating employees through health promotion programs. Studies show absenteeism can decrease 38% and health costs can decrease 31% in one year. The return on investment proves to be cost effective. Average companies have experienced a net savings of $5.64 for every $1 spent on a health promotion program. The United States Department of Health and Human Services would like 75% of all worksites to offer employees a comprehensive health promotion program by the year 2010.
"Breakfast & Learn" or "Lunch & Learn" workshops generally last 60 minutes with 20-30 minutes for questions. Presentations are entertaining and interactive. There are many workshops to choose from on a variety of nutrition and wellness related topics. Private consultations are also available on site.
Child obesity is now an epidemic in the United States. The best way to combat child obesity is to teach children about nutrition & wellness and how to make realistic choices in today's world.
A variety of nutrition & wellness classes are offered for pre-K through grade 12 in a public or private school setting. Classes are designed to optimally reach each specific age group. Classes are interactive and intergrate real life situations that surround food and how to make healthy life choices. Programs are also offered for parents, teachers, and administration.
