We're Getting Around

At the American Heart Association Walk in West Palm Beach on September 29, 2007, Diet Balance nutrition professionals, Michelle Parenti (left) and Carmen Dragen (right), educated the public by providing a handout on healthy snacking and by calculating body mass indexes (BMI's) to determine weight status. The education was well received. Many people voiced the need to have health promotion programs at their worksites, churches, and even at their homes for family and friends.

Aim for a Variety of Snacks Each Day
Nuts make a great snack food. They contain the kind of fat that is good for your heart. They also have many nutrients and fiber. Keep nuts in your desk at work. Eat a handful when you feel hungry. Take a little less than a handful and include a small piece of fruit with your snack. Enjoy!
Look What You Can Do!

Have a nutrition & wellness program in your home! We will come to your house and teach you and your family & friends how to make healthy food & life choices to promote weight loss or to live a healthier lifestyle. Workshops are interactive and fun. Be ready to laugh and learn. Don't put it off, contact us today to schedule.
